Murray, Williamson. "The War of 1938"
Divergence: 1938 CE
What if: Germany attacked Czeckolovakia 1938 as it had planned up until the Munich negotations effectively gave it up.
Summary: Essay which speculates that since Germany was nowhere near as well-prepared for in 1938 as it would be a year later, and having to support Italy from a French invasion, the European war would likely have been much shorter and less catclysmic.
