Harkabi, Yehoshafat. Hazon, lo fantazyah
Title trans.: The Bar Kokhba Syndrome: Risk and Realism in International Politics
Divergence: 132 CE
Comments: Includes short speculation the Jews of Galilee joined with those of Judea in rebelling
against Rome in 132 CE or there had been no rebellion at all. In the first case,
concludes that both rebellions would have been smashed, along with rabbinic traditions. In
the second case, concludes that Judaism would have been a stronger position within the
empire, and Christianity in a weaker.
