What if: West Germany didn't press to re-create a unified Germany despite the Soviet retrenchment and the flight of 4 million East Germans. The East Germans closed the border again, but the two Germanies agreed on "good-neighbor" relations, with West Germany continuing to subsidize the GDR. Ten years later, of East Germany's former allies only Cuba and North Korea are left, and economic and political relations between the last remaining Communist countries are close.
Summary: Satire of everyday life in East Berlin in the year 2000.
