Oredsson, Sverker. "Det framgångsrika attentatet mot Hitler den 20 juli 1944"
Title trans.: "The Successful Assassination of Hitler on 20th July 1944"
Divergence: 1944 CE
What if: Stauffenberg's plot to kill Hitler succeeded.
Summary: With the war in Europe ending in 1944, only Romania and Bulgaria would have fallen into
the Soviet sphere and Germany would have been undivided. Consequently, the European Union
would have been off to a better start and much less of Europe would have been stifled
behind the Steel Curtain until bankruptcy of the Soviets in 1989.
